AR-10 Triggers & Fire Control Parts

AR-10 and LR-308 lowers accept AR-15 pattern fire control, so the Super Safety, drop-in forced reset triggers and mil-spec trigger groups drop into your .308 the same way they do a 5.56 rifle. AllGoOperators stocks the triggers, anti-walk pins and wholesale trigger lots that big-bore AR builders and dealers need.

AR-10 Fire Control, In Order

A .308 carrier is heavier and moves with more energy than a 5.56 carrier. That is good news for a forced reset trigger, which relies on carrier travel to reset, but it also means pins and buffers take more abuse. Build the trigger group with that in mind.

01

Forced Reset & Super Safety Triggers

The ALLGOOPERATORS Super Safety and drop-in forced reset triggers in our AR-15 triggers category share the fire control geometry that AR-10, LR-308 and DPMS-pattern lowers are cut for. Choose the straight-trigger kit, the Ambidextrous Super Selektor, or a drop-in cassette like the Partisan Disruptor.

02

Anti-Walk Pins & Wholesale Lots

Our AR-15 Anti-Walk Pins 4 Pack is nitride-coated CNC steel in .154 and is listed as compatible with AR-15, AR-10 and AR-9 lowers. Dealers and builders can order the AR15 Trigger Wholesale listing in quantity lots at a per-unit discount.

03

Buffer, Bolt & Feed

A .308 forced reset build wants a rifle-length or AR-10-specific buffer and spring matched to the carrier. Finish with an AR-10 bolt carrier group, a barrel with the right gas length and SR-25 or DPMS pattern magazines that match your lower.

AR-10 vs. AR-15

What Changes in a .308 Lower

The fire control pocket is shared. Almost everything around it is scaled up.

Shared

Same as AR-15

  • Fire control pocket Standard trigger, hammer and disconnector geometry.
  • Pin size .154 trigger and hammer pins on nearly every AR-10 lower.
  • Safety selector Mil-spec selector, including 3-position Super Safety selectors.
  • Pistol grip Any AR-15 grip fits.
  • Trigger guard Standard AR-15 pattern on most lowers.
Different

.308-Specific

  • Carrier Longer, heavier .308 carrier with more reciprocating mass.
  • Buffer system Rifle-length tube or AR-10 carbine buffer and spring.
  • Magazine well SR-25 or DPMS pattern; magazines are not AR-15 compatible.
  • Takedown pins Larger pins and spacing; upper and lower are not AR-15 interchangeable.
  • Patterns DPMS, Armalite and SR-25 patterns differ in upper fit and stock threads.
Before You Order

Choosing an AR-10 Trigger

Confirm these points before you order fire control for a .308 build.

Pin Size

Nearly all modern AR-10 and LR-308 lowers use standard .154 pins. A few older Armalite lowers use .170 large pins and will not accept standard triggers or our anti-walk pins. Measure or check your lower's spec first.

Buffer & Spring

A .308 carrier arrives at the buffer with more energy than a 5.56 carrier. Match the trigger to a buffer and spring designed for your AR-10 buffer system so the forced reset engages on every cycle without excessive bolt bounce.

Wholesale Orders

The AR15 Trigger Wholesale listing sells in quantity lots, and the Super Safety straight trigger takes 10 percent off automatically at 10 units or more in cart. Contact allgooperators@proton.me for dealer pricing on larger volumes.

Trigger Legality

Forced reset triggers and the Super Safety are semi-automatic fire control, but rules vary by state and change over time. ALLGOOPERATORS does not ship FRTs to CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, HI, IL, MD, MN, NJ, NV, NY, OR or RI. Confirm that any trigger is legal at your address before ordering and review the shipping restrictions.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do AR-15 triggers fit an AR-10?

Yes, in nearly every case. AR-10, LR-308 and DPMS-pattern lowers use the same fire control pocket and .154 pin size as the AR-15, so mil-spec triggers, the Super Safety and drop-in forced reset triggers install directly. Older Armalite lowers with .170 pins are the exception.

  • Does a forced reset trigger work in a .308 AR?

Forced reset triggers use bolt carrier travel to reset the trigger, and a .308 carrier has plenty of it. The key is a buffer and spring matched to the carrier so the reset engages cleanly. Check each trigger's listing for AR-10 compatibility notes.

  • What is the AR15 Trigger Wholesale listing?

It is a quantity listing for dealers, builders and clubs that need multiple trigger groups at a reduced per-unit price. Choose the lot size on the product page. For larger volumes contact allgooperators@proton.me.

  • Are anti-walk pins necessary on an AR-10?

We strongly recommend them with any forced reset trigger. A .308 carrier generates more vibration than a 5.56, and the nitride-coated 4 pack is listed as compatible with AR-15, AR-10 and AR-9 lowers using .154 pins.

  • Is a forced reset trigger legal in my state?

Legality varies by state and changes over time. ALLGOOPERATORS will not ship FRTs to CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, HI, IL, MD, MN, NJ, NV, NY, OR or RI. Confirm legality at your address and review our shipping restrictions before ordering.

  • Do I need an FFL to buy AR-10 trigger parts?

No. Triggers, pins and other lower parts ship directly to you with no FFL required, subject to the state restrictions above. Only receivers, and uppers, barrels and high-capacity magazines shipping to CA, WA, CT, NJ, New York City or Chicago, require an FFL address.
